Hi there!

I have a Klarstein Mundschenk 30L Kettle, same as the Brew Monk 30L. I am trying to adjust recipes and get to grips with the BeerSmith software.

Here in Germany everyone talks about "Sudhausausbeute" for the system efficiency and I am not sure it is the same as the Brewhouse Efficiency.

It is calculated ((volume of the hot wort in litres - 4% losses for expansion) * extract content measured as % Plato * Specific gravity) / quantity of grains used in kg

So my results are ((23 litres - 4%) * 13 Plato * 1.052) divided by 5,5kg grains = 54,9%

These seem to be required for any recipe builder in germany.

So now I am quite confused how to get to the Brewhouse efficiency. Anyone that can help me or maybe has any values I can use?

Thanks in advance!
Phillip
