Hello,
I've been BIABing for a few years now. I use a 15 gallon keg with an electric heater at the bottom. How do you all keep your bag full of grains from hitting the heating element and scorching?
So far, I've been using a pizza pan stand with a 12" perforated pizza pan on top to separate the bag from the heater, but I've noticed the pizza pan is starting to deteriorate and do not want it to give my beer any off flavors. I'm thinking about purchasing a 12" perforated stainless steel or aluminum pizza pan, or trying out another idea. Any recommendations?
