I'm currently ageing my first batch of mead. It's still quite cloudy, which I understand time will eventually take care of. But, I am wondering if I can add benonite during this time to help the process along. Everything I've read mentions adding the benonite in the primary fermentation stage. I started this mead November 17, 2022. Thank you for any help!

Time should clear it. Finings such as bentonite can help speed it along. Some work better, faster than others. Some work too well, stripping flavor and aroma. Bentonite is often used in primary, can be used after.
