I need suggestions on how to remove end nut without distorting stem. Thought I might heat with torch. What do you think?

Is that the nut on the right? Honest question - that part does not look familiar to me, but yes. Heat does amazing things to get metal to cooperate. A torch is exactly where my mind went.

I think I'd remove that plunger gasket then give the heat a shot.

What faucet is that from - and how much do you need to keep it alive?

Cheers!

I could have taken a better photo. the nut is round and slotted, holding rubber washer. I have 2 of the faucets and rebuild kits.
Thanks
