Are MFL/FFL another name for some other threads?

Are MFL/FFL another name for some other threads like NTP or BSP. Or are MFL/FFL something unique.

I've only seen MFL and FFL being mention on beer equipment.
 
The thread on a flare fitting might match another standard, I'm not sure. However, there's more to a MFL/FFL than just the thread. The seal is accomplished on the flared surface, not by the threads, so even if you matched the thread to some other fitting, it would not seal the way that MFL/FFL is intended to seal.
