I'm frustrated with temp control on my mash...... actually not control, but readings. I do BIAB using a stainless steel stock pot (cheap). My problem is the inconvenience of using an electronic rigid probe thermometer to measure strike water temp and mash temp. I want a floating thermometer, and I don't feel like building one! Anybody know where I can get a floating thermometer? Do I just need to use a walbro doughnut shaped plastic float and glue it to my thermometer? I can't think of any other easily adaptable float.... I suspect it wouldn't be quite enough, and I haven't found a floating thermometer for this temp range. Perhaps a large piece of cork. Ideas???
