Can I make a yeast starter using corn sugar instead of dme? I kinda need to make it tonight and its 10:15pm so I can't go to lhbs and get dme.... Advice?

Nope. well, I mean you could, but it'd be bad. You need to grow those yeasties strong and ready to eat malt, not dextrose (a simple simple sugar). They get lazy and used to eating simple sugars and won't eat the more complicated ones -that is the anthropomorphized explanation of it anyways...
