Sooo i've got some wort...i'm thinking of repitching some yeast in it...

what's the advantage of it?

Like ed's afpelwine, could i indefinitely re-pitch over and over?

I'm cufuzzzled.

Are you talking about pitching more yeast into an already fermenting/fermented batch?
Or using the yeast from one fermented batch to start another?

Or maybe some confused combination of the two?

Yeah, it works. You could probably get at least five generations out of it. If you are pitching it more then 1x it's best to pitch at the same gravity or pitch up i.e., from say 1.050 to 1.055, rather then pitch down i.e., 1.050 to 1.045.

Here's what I do for re-pitching yeast:
Pour yeast cake into 3 or 4 sanitized plastic beer bottles
Store in the fridge
Pitch onto batch of beer
Save yeast cake from that batch as well

I will usually do this enough times to get at least 4 to 8 uses out of a liquid yeast pack/vial and then get another one. I'm really just interested in cutting the cost of yeast rather than building up a yeast bank.
