I just threw some powdered oak from a wine kit into the red ale I have in primary, (pitched friday night). My God, after ten minutes, the foam is now at the top of the primary bucket, which means I have some 20 liters of foam... I moved the thing into the sink.
Why would it go spazzy like this?
Secondary: Sangiovese, Honey Nut Brown, some Pilsner/ale kinda thing that just won't quit...
