can someone who has this please measure it for me? I want to consider one, but ity has to fit on my stove. thanks in advance.

Is 9 gallon the minimum size kettle for 5-6 gallon all grain batches?

You could go smaller if you had to but I wouldn't.

Me? No, I still use it as I do not have my Rims Single Tier stand fully set up yet....Still using old floor burner.

Just measured it, as I just got done using it. Basically 12' across.

Is there any reason to go bigger should have been my question. 30 qt seems to be pretty common, but I don't want one that small. The next step up at Bass Pro is 60 qt.

How would this work for 5 gallon all grain batches? I'm looking to get a new kettle when I go all grain but don't want to be wishing I had something bigger 6 months from now.

I use it for 5gallon batches, works fine. I fill it up 7 gallons, after boil I have 5 1/2, after transfer to fermenter leaves me w/ 5 gallons of wort.
