This is another beer I was able to get quite a bit of information about from the good people at Summit Brewing in Minneapolis. The recipe below has been changed slightly but is still a very representative of their flagship Summit Pale Ale.
12 lbs Hugh Bairds
1 lb CaraPils
1 lb 10 Crystal
.5 to .75 oz of Fuggles in boil
.5 Fuggles and .5 Cascade at 20
.5 Fuggles and .5 Cascade at 15
Dry hop with 1 oz Cascade and .5 Fuggle
A real nice deceptive beer. In the glass it looks like an ordinary 'lawn mower' beer. Tasting it you realize it has a great depth of malt and a very nice floral Cascade/Fuggle flavour. It pours with a tight white head.
