Default Honey as a priming sugar

I bottled a little over 4 gallons of Hefeweizen yesterday and used 4 oz weight of honey as the primer. Some 28 hours have passed and the TAD bottle still hasn't "popped out" to its normal shape. Could I have bad honey? Should I be thinking of re-bottling with corn sugar?

According to you can use any of the following

3/4 cup of corn sugar or cane sugar
1 cup of malt extract
or 1/2 cup of honey

Did you mix the honey with boiling water like you would regular sugar?

I went to this priming calculator: and with 4 ounces of honey, that's just about perfect for 2.6 volumes of CO2. Keep it at 70 degrees, and check it in 21 days.

One day is about 20 days too soon to worry about adequate carbonation. It takes time for the yeast to carb up the beer.

I only prime with honey. Don't ask me why. I started and kept doing it because it worked really well for me. I think you may have low-balled it a bit. 225g (8 oz) should be about perfect for what you are doing.
