So here's my recipe that I chose to brew last night until 3 in the morning... as I am not the most experienced of a brewer, would you please tell me what you think this might turn out like? NOTE: 2 gallon batch is used, not 5.

.5 lb victory steeped 30 min at 160F
2.5 lb Amber DME
.5 oz Cascade 7.9% boiled 43 min
.5 oz Hallertau 3.9% boiled 15 min

W'Yeast 1056 American Ale Yeast used... starter'd for a few hours until I remembered that it probably had enough yeast already considering the pack is meant for a five gallon batch.

Does anyone think this will be good? Will I probably taste some victory malt characteristics? Will I get excessive flavors of any one type?

For a 2 gallon brew, 0.5 lb of victory is alot. I'd cut it in half.

Are you sure you want Amber DME? That might end up darker than you want for a pale ale. If you have light DME you might want to go half and half light/amber.
