Just had a wee sneaky taster of my first AG - fantastic (IIDSSM)! ;)

No hint of that "medicinal taste" that I have been whining about on my previous brews - thanks (I think) to filtering the water and adding 1/2 crushed campden tablet to the liquor to remove chlorine. Plus I treated the water with carbonate reducing solution and dry liquor salts to get the profile right.

Just got to leave it a little longer to mature....good job I have to work in Toulouse for the next few weeks cos I think temptation would get the better of me! :D

Balls to maturation, I just can't wait! First pint of homemade all-grain beer...:mug:

All-grain brewing rocks!

It tastes great for one week in the keg! Nice and hoppy. In fact, it kind of reminds me of a hoppier version of Boddingtons (in taste and colour). It was supposed to be a Timothy Taylor Landlord clone, but I messed up the sparge, hence the lighter colour.

...homebrew can be so forgiving...don't ya just love it!:rockin:
