Does anyone have a good Extract Pale Ale?

I was looking through the recipe database and couldn't find a smooth and lightly bittered APA that is extract + steeping grains. I was wondering if anyone has a good one, i need something for summer, it is getting rather warm. Thanks

This is avaliable as a kit from morebeer (not a plug, just sayin')

American Ale

7 lbs Ultralight Malt

1lb Crystal 15L

1 oz Magnum (60 minutes)
1 oz Cascade (5 minutes)
1 oz Cascade (1 minute)

Yeast: WLP001

For a less bitter experience, why not cut the hop additions in half? I imagine anything with around 6# DME & some crystal malt for steeping will get you off to a good start. As for hops, play with additions on http://www.hbd.org/recipator/.

Make that two, I've been thinkin about a pale for a little while. I'm just an extract brewer, but I'd like to put some steeping grains in there to add some interest. Ideas?

Start with this. Maybe add 8oz. of Carapils.

Add any hops you want for 30 to 45+ IBUs. The hop schedule above would be fine, maybe a bit on the bitter side.

I am doing an APA with:
.75 Cascade 60min
.5 Cascade 30 min
.25 Cascade 15min
.25 Cascade 5 min
.25 Cascade 0 min

For me, this will be around 34IBU (at 7.5%AA whole leaf).

I did this last month and loved it!! I am a huge IPA fan though.

Caramel Pils 1/2lb
Carastan 1/2lb
Light DME 6lbs

Nugget 1oz @ 60min
Goldings 1oz @ 15min
Cascade 1oz @10min
Mt hood 1/2oz @ 5min
Cascade 1/2oz @ 5min
Mt hood 1/2oz Dry
Cascade 1/2oz Dry

Beached Ale:

6# Light DME
1# Carapils steep at 154 for 25 minutes

1 oz Willamette 60 min
1/2 oz Willamette 15 minutes
1/2 oz Willamette 5 minutes
Wyeast 1056

about 5.5% ABV
about 20 IBU
