I've done maybe 15 or so extract batches and am ready to make the jump to all grain. I live on an island in Alaska so getting equipment here is a royal pain in the ass w/ shipping charges so I MUST be resourceful in getting my equipment.

I already have:
1. 8 Gallon pot
2. Carboy's

I plan on ordering the following through amazon as they will ship for free:

1. Burner
2. 5 gallon pot
3. Grain Crusher.

Now what else do I need. I know a need a cooler. Is there an easy way to mod an ordinary cooler so I do not have to buy the special round one?

A rectangular cooler with a braid or manifold works fine for batch sparging, but don't use the braid if you're fly sparging.
I would strongly recommend a wort chiller, and you will definitely need an accurate thermometer.
Apart from that, you probably have everything you need.

Good luck.
