So, I picked a whole bunch of hops, and then got busy, and just threw them in large zip-locks in the freezer, and I squeezed/sucked all of air that I could out.

Will they be overly grassy or otherwise bad if I add them directly to the kettle?

How does this condition affect weight measuring?

Thanks

If they were not dried, you should dry them and then store them again. I have tossed hops in the freezer and they were fine, but it is really dry in Colorado. The drying process allows the grassy compounds to break down prior to brewing, however, only really wet hops will have grassy flavors. Mature hops are fairly dry on the vine. If you want to test the hops, brew some tea.
