I am going to experiment using corny kegs as fermenters. I have a 15 gal kettle so I plan on brewing enough to end up with 8 gallons post boil and split 4 gallons between 2 kegs to allow enough head space for the krausen.
I am going to brew a brown mild and shooting for OG of 1.040. I had planned to use 1 packet of Danstar Windsor dry yeast for each keg but when I used Beersmith to scale the recipe up from a 5.5 gallon post boil batch the amount of yeast needed stayed at 1 packet for the 8 gallons. Should I split the 1 packet between the 2 kegs per Beersmith or use 1 packet for each?
