Hello,
I love me some Scottish ales, and want to brew one to have as a nice winter beer, but I don't have the ability to keep the fermentation temperatures at the levels typically required for Scottish Ale yeasts.

So my question is, can I make a Scottish ale-style beer at warmer temperatures with a different yeast, but still having that beautiful, smooth Scottish character, a la what BierMuncher did for his OktoberFAST Ale?

Thanks in advance!
