Another noob stupid question to confirm something that wasn't answered in my previous post . Just made my first starter with a White Labs Wit yeast. This does not get refridgerated like the vial of yeast, correct? The starter is currently sitting in a flask at room temp with a bung and airlock in place.

Thanks!

It depends.

I try to make my starters about 3 days in advance of brew day and then crash cool it the morning I brew to get the yeast to flocculate and then pour off the beer and pitch the slurry. If, for some reason, I can't brew the day I planned then I refridgerate it. The viability will be fine for about 1-2 weeks.
