Hello,

Thanks, in advance, for any input.

I am looking to create a simple belgium blonde recipe. I want to keep OG low, for more of an everyday beer and I want to use the cake for a Trois Pistol clone that I am working on. I am also using czech sladek hops since that is what I have on hand and saaz seems to be in shortage at the LHBS.

Looks good!

My only critisism is that is is 'Belgian' Blonde not Belgium Blonde!! ;)

That being said.............it should be tasty!

Edit: LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spelled Belgian wrong!!!!!! Changed!!!!

I'd subsitute crystal with wheat - I don't think you want caremel notes in the belgian blondes. I'll bump up the amount of sugar to about a pound or even more - to dry it out - it should finish around 1.012.

For the hops one 60min addition should be fine - at least if you want to make something similar to leffe - you don't want too much hop aroma.

also remember to ferment it rather cold (~65f) at the beggining and rasie the temp over a couple of days. the last one I did with wyeast 1214 started to high (~70f) and it's has too much solventy aroma in my opinion.
