Hi guys,
Well I want to give you an update on my testing of the multi jet burners which I think I am about to give up on and look to you for thoughts on some burner choices that I think I am going to use instead.
The first test I did was used the multi jet burners with all 20 tips installed and they were way to hot. Hell the entire stand was hot to the touch and I did not even reach boil temp yet.
The second test I removed 6 of the jets plugged the holes and retested but still made the stand to hot to touch and were also a little dificult to control. Additionally I think that these burners are going to use the propane like it is "gong out of style". Which I do not want.
The pic below show the orientation of the burners and the plumbing.
Now what I am thinking of doing is using either a BG12 or BG14 from bayou classic http://bayouclassicdepot.com/propane_cast_iron_burner.htm
along with a regulator. The thing that I am not sure about is how do I control each burner? My thought was to have the adjustable regulator connected to the tank which intern feeds the 1/2 black pipe. From there I have two gas ball valves which I can turn each burner on or off and even control the flame to some extent.
What I am not sure about is what orfices I need to use or what to connect the burner to the 1/2 pipe with.
Anyway any input would be appreciated since I know that I am not the first one going down this road.
Thanks
