This is my first attempt at Kräusening a beer.

Now the Big beer(5gal) started out at OG 1.040
Then finished at 1.010 after 7-days

Now i made a 15% Kräusen out of 100% DME no hops
with a SG of 1.045.
I let it get going good then pitched it into the big beer.

Now how would you figure the alch% on this?
Assuming the FG will still be around 1.010 after 3-weeks?

Thanks Guys!!

I would figure the alc of the krausen alone and use the ((alc1 x vol1) + (alc2 x vol2))/ (vol1+vol2)

That should get you close

3.94% ABV in original beer
4.59% ABV in krausen

3.94(0.85)=3.349
4.59(.15)=0.6885
3.349+ .6885=4.0375 resultant ABV @ 15% krausen
