OK, a few months ago I read an article somewhere (possibly a thread here) that discussed a thermometer which had the typical dial face (might have been a digital readout though) but instead of the common rigid probe, it had a thin wire which could be suspended in the substance of interest. I can't locate the article/thread and I was thinking about using something like this as I develop a fermentation chamber. Seems like a great way to monitor temps within the wort.
