I've read a number of threads and a few articles refering to the different flavors created by useing different yeasts. But I have not been able to find any refrence material that lists what flavors the different commercial strains cause. If you guys have any input I'd be all ears. What kind of flavors corespond to the different strains that are available today?

WYeast 3068 Weihenstephan Wheat

Let's just say if you want a definite flavor from a yeast, there's a prime example.. Banana and clove GALORE!

Basically if you looked at any description of yeast it will tell you what kinds of flavors to expect from the yeast...
Some yeasts like American Ale (WYeast 1056) are clean and exhibit no flavors of their own.

wyeastlab.com

And any good homebrew supply website should have descriptions of the yeast that they sell

Cheers
