Hey gang, just brewed a gallon of Brooklyn Brew Shop's IPA EVERYDAY. Currently, I have a blow off running while the yeast eat, eat, and eat. In three days I'll install the airlock. [Fingers crossed] It smelled delicious last night while boiling the wort, can't wait to bottle this batch. Taking a trip down to Maltose Express in a few weeks to get a 5 gallon kit. They sell kits that mimic well known beers, any suggestions on a good beer for my second batch. I was told Samuel Adams Boston Lager (my favorite) should wait until I've been brewing for some time (as lagers are tricky). Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Vincent

Do you have the ability to control fermentation temps or keep them low? Lager are fermented in upper 40's to low 50's.

What kind of beers do you like?

If you like lagers, then try doing a kolsch or a steam beer.
