Good Beer in India...Where to find it?

I've got a friend travelling all over right now, and shes in India for 3 weeks. Shes travelling all over the country, but her "base" is in Chandigarh. She'll then move "base" to Kerala for a week, before jumping over to Australia for a few weeks.

Shes a beer lover, but can't find much in the way of decent beer to purchase, or at restuarants or bars.

Any suggestions? You'd think India would have some good IPAs, but shes struck out so far.

I don't think I've ever seen an indian brewer here.

Malfet knows Nepal (I think, at least is says so under his avatar)... maybe he can chime in here.
