Hi Ya'll

Anyone tried Uinta's Hop Notch IPA? If not, go get some, its delicious.

Anyway, I was poking around for some info on it (hops used, grains, etc) and could not find much. Know the ABV and IBU, but that is all. So, anyone tried to clone this beer, or know where to find more information on it? I would love to give it a try over the holidays. Ok thanks

peace and love
sam

Hop Notch is great, and I particularly enjoy their bottles. I really like the whole compass thing they got going on.

This is a fantastic IPA. Hopefully someone has an insight into their ingredients...I'd clone it in a second

Bump!

This is a Top 5 IPA for me, easy. So hoppy, yet balanced and creamy. I like to drink it out of the can like Heady.

This is one of the first times I've tried finding a clone recipe for an amazing beer and not found anything! All I know is 7.3% ABV, and someone on the Internet said ~80 IBUs, which I believe, but cannot find verification of. Piney, resiny American hops definitely. Some wheat or oats for mouthfeel? Yeast definitely in the background. Not sure which grains were used. I don't get anything bready, seems like a straight-forward grainbill without much sweetness? I don't know! If anyone has any other thoughts, maybe we can start to play around with some Recipes on the other forum.

bump for success.

main difference i see is that uinta claims 7.3% so a bit more two row might help as long as you can attentuate.

i'm drinking this beer right now. uinta's not my own.. the hops seem about right. i really agree with columbus and cascade. centennial makes sense as a supporting cast member.

i will possibly be brewing a similar beer but without the columbus. i can't get into the dank mustiness.

has any body brewed that recipe on there?

I had this beer (Hop Nosh, not the clone) the other night and I think it's going to become my house beer. Anyone who's brewed this recipe, how did it come out? What would you change to make it closer to the Hop Nosh?

Following this thread, I had it for the first time this past weekend, it's a great beer worthy of a good clone

Uinta Hop Nosh AG clone

Adjusted the 4 gal BIAB recipe to a 5 gal AG recipe. 5 gal amounts are in (), rounded to what I would actually use. Will put recipe in Brew Smith, see where the ABV and IBU fall and adjust. Will keep hop addition and boil time the same. Any thoughts?
