What homebrewer_99 said. I go with 1 1/4 cups or just a great big rounded 1 cup scoop. That's just how I operate.
 
As with all priming, it depends on the beer temp and desired carbonation level. Here's a handy priming calculator.

Cool widget--thanks for the link, and thanks to everyone who gave advice. Do you know if "beer temp" in the widget refers to the temperature at which you intend to serve the beer, or the temperature at which it will bottle condition?

Neither, it refers to the temp at the time of bottling. Liquids hold more CO2 the colder they are, so the widget asks for the beer temp to determine how much CO2 is still in solution leftover from fermentation.
