I'm doing Ed's Haus Ale and I'd like to up the hops a bit. I have the 2 ounces of Cascade it calls for but I also have 1/2 ounce of Kent Golding and 1 ounce of Northern Brewer.

I'm just starting my sparge water now...

Thoughts, suggestions?

thanks!

Stick with the tried and true until you figure out what works and what you like. I have a hard time with this still, 30 batches in... Some of the best beers I have made are the ones I didnt change too much from the original intent. If you up the hops too much, you are likely to knock it out of balance that made it so good. If you wanted an IPA, start with an IPA recipe. If you still want to experiment, try dry hopping half with the EKG. Then you get to tinker, and learn something at the same time... Well, in a couple weeks ;).

I've done this recipe 3 times. This one I'd like to "change up a bit"......

the N.Brewers smell a lot like the cascades to me.

I added 1/8 OZ of E.Golding and 1/2 of N.Brewer, as FWH.

I've done that (and variations of...) recipe a few times.

In the first batch I used the Cascades, then in another I used EKG, and Willamette in another.

They were all nice and tasty, but I dry hopped the Willamette and EKG.
