I've never taken a post off before. I always seem to make a note to replace the seals after the keg is empty, but always seem to forget. Is this something that can be done with a full keg?

Yep, just depressurize then you can remove the post. Done it multiple times for leaky poppets, clogged dip tubes, etc.

yep. just like chicky, I had a leaky poppet that started after i filled the keg. It just needed a little keg lube.
