New Barley Crusher

What is it that you guys run through to absorb the oil with a brand new crusher and bout how much. My new crusher will be here tomorrow and Ill be going to the local brew shop to exchange my C02 tank so I might as well get some of whats neded to clean up my crusher while Im there, thanks!

directions suggest 1/2 lb of grain, and just chuck that grain

i was wondering the same thing when i got mine. you will like it, i went from a corona to the barley crsher.

Im finally just finishing getting everything together. Got my E-keggle ll done and polished, built my E-MLT, built my brew sculpture, and built my cooler with manifold. Been doing partial mashes for awhile but did do a few AG;s with the turkey fryer.

I used a 1/2 pound of my cheapest grain. You won't regret getting one.

+1. I love mine. I've been meaning to hook up a drill, but I kind of like grinding by hand (except the for barleywine grainbill last year).
