- a wonderully aromatic IPA
6.5 lbs Maris Otter
5.5 lbs Domestic 2-row
1 lb Crustal 15
2 oz C-40
2 oz C-120
6 oz Munich
28 g Simcoe 12.2% 60 mins
14 g Amarillo 8.6% 10 mins
14 g Columbus 14.4% 10 mins
16 g Columbus 5 mins
14 g Amarillo 5 mins
19 g Simcoe 0 mins
14 g Amarillo 0 mins
56 g Simcoe dry hop 10 days
18 g Amarillo dry hop in the keg
Mashed at 150 f, Fermented at 66 f, conditioned 1 week in the cold (30-35 f) before kegging.
I love this IPA, it is my new house ale. It hits every spot - hoppy, aromatic, 6.5% ABV (not too strong not too weak) refreshing, ages well, bitter but not too much.
My efficiency is 65%, I use Tinseth for IBU calculations.
