cleaning keg equipment

I am wondering what process is common for cleaning your keg equipment. I see the kits for $60 or so online, but was wondering if I needed that.

I was wondering if taking an empty corny, partial filling it with oxyclean and running it through would be good to clean it. I was thinking of following that up with a run through of starsan.

What do you guys think of the effectiveness of that? Also chime in with what you use for your own cleaning routine.
