punching holes soon.

I ordered a bunch of .5" weldless fittings from brewers hardware and my hole punches arrive tomorrow. The thought of possibly ruining my blingmanns with 7/8" holes scares the crap out of me. Any advice before I start?

Go slow, use a lubricant and use a step bit to get a nice clean hole. Don't be scared it's super easy!

I would suggest not using a 7/8th punch. :cross:

I'd be afraid of ****ing up a price as beautiful as a blichmann product as well. Most steel is more resilient than most people on here give it credit for. You'll be fine.

better than step drill is a knockout hole punch. expensive, but so is your kettle. (the link is not the correct size i just picked the first one i saw and linked to it.)

I opted to start the hole punch with a step bit and then finish with a 7/8" greenlee hole punch.
