Getting 84% Apparent Attenuation with US-05? Why so high?

So I did an ice bath...

Left thermometer in 5 min, stirred ice, reading just about 31.0F!

For giggles I then took my body temp with a medical thermometer, them used my brew thermometer under my tounge for 5 min and it read essentially the same as the other at 98.5F. So I have to think my high attenuation is sparge related.
 
Did you ever solve this?

Made a pale ale over the summer using US-05 and it turned out too dry with an apparent attenuation of 85% (fg 1008, when we've rarely had below 1014 in previous beers).
