I started a 2.5 gal batch of mead last week in a 6 gal carboy because i thought it would be a really active fermentation. I want to transfer it to my 3 gal carboy so i can start a beer in my 6 gal this week. Its still actively fermenting in the 6 gal but its not so active that the 3 gal would be too small. Can i just stir up the yeast and transfer it over so it will continue in the 3 gal?
