I finally got around to having couplers welded into my boil kettle. I had hoped to just use a 90 as a pickup tube as I'd saw that on another post. However when dry fitting, I noticed that I'd leave a gallon or so in my kettle if I went that route. Instead, I used a half inch hose barb as a pickup tube. Does anyone foresee any problems with this setup?

I had a local guy weld the couplings in for me. I think they turned out great. He welded the coupling for the sight glass super low. I got the camlock fittings and barbs from Bobby_M.

Thanks everyone on HBT for all the great ideas when planning this.

Looks good to me. A street 90 might work without needing the barb, but might not be worth an extra purchase. Good work

you might need to get some kind of filter for your hops, that small inlet will plug up, but it looks fine to me.
