Tasting Notes
Nice malt flavor balanced with citrus Cascade
Boil size - 3 gallons (topped off to 5.5 gallons in fermenter with clean water)

4 lb Briess Light DME
3 lbs Two-row Pale
1 lb Crystal 60L
6 oz Crystal 90L

.75 oz Cascade (5.5 AAs) - 60 Minutes
1 oz Cascade - 20 minutes
2 oz Cascade - 5 minutes

Whirlfloc Tab - 15 minutes

Grains mashed for 45 minutes @ 153 F - Sparged with 170 F

Bring to boil
Remove from heat an add DME
Bring to boil, start timer, add hops and Whirlfloc at stated times.

Cool to 70 F w/ wort chiller or ice bath.

Strain into fermenter, aerate, pitch yeast.

Ferment 2-3 weeks at 69 F and bottle with 4 oz corn sugar.

This is a very simple brew but tastes great - I've gotten lots of compliments on this one. It's a pretty straightforward "American Amber" and is a good showcase for the Cascade hops.

BTW, SafAle S-05 works fine in lieu of Notty if you're not a fan.

Since there's no dry hopping, this one is relatively quick as well! :D

(for extract version lose the two row and add another pound of DME, steep crystal grains at 160 F for 30 minutes)

Cheers! :mug:

OOPS! Could a mod be so kind to move the decimal point in my OG? Once posted, users can't edit the specs. :(

Sorry, neither can we mods! We can edit the post, but not the specs at the top.

Thanks anyway. Worth a shot ;)

FWIW, the OG is supposed to be 1.054 not 10.54 :D LOL!
