Mixed-Up Keg Fittings

I made the mistake of taking apart several kegs at once, not even realizing that they had different fittings.

Now i am trying to match up all the fittings with their respective kegs, and im having trouble- a friend of mine sent me a pdf that shows three different types of ball-lock keg posts, but none of them are double-hex drive; about half of mine are

am i to assume that these are just for the gas side of the challenger? or could these be for cornies as well? ive heard that the double-hex was used to show gas side fitting, but im not sure what kegs they go to

The 12-point 7/8" fittings are gas fittings. Some of my cornies have them, some have the 11/16" fittings, and one came with a mixed set.

Another clue to gas vs liquid is a horizontal notch going around the hex.

As long as the fittings thread on tightly, I would think it shouldn't matter. But then, I'm relatively new to kegging as well.

use your black valve, if it doesn't fit... its a gas post.

I am in the middle of the same issue. 4 Kegs all different parts and they fit everywhere as long as you keep a mop near by for the 10psi spray
