My MBA class and I at the University of Texas at Dallas are throwing a fundraising party at FireWheel Brewing this Sunday (October 25th) from 3:00 to 6:00 pm to raise money to send 3 of our classmates (myself included) to the University of Oxford to present research papers at the Global Conference on Business and Economics. UTD does not offer scholarships to graduate-level business students, so we are having to raise the money ourselves. Our goal is raise $6000, which should cover transportation, lodging, and conference fees for all 3 of students.
A $30 donation includes 3 beers or craft sodas and a keepsake pint glass to commemorate the occasion. We will also have a food truck onsite and the Dallas Cowboys game on. FireWheel will also have my homebrew Berliner Whoosh! on draft for free samplings.
