This porter was a smash hit. It was something I brewed for my old man because it appears Sleeman's Porter is not going to be resupplied at the Newfoundland Liquor Store. It was drinkable to the extreme, something I find most porters require months of aging to acquire. The roasted barley is barely evident, while the chocolate malt is definitely dominant. Never will I use black malt in my beers again after I discovered the smoothness of the roasted barley. I am going to redo this porter once I get some more Victory malt. One of my best.

Looks pretty good. I might try this one next. Dont have any warrior hops, what would be a good substitute?

Just curious, but why 1.1 lbs flaked barley instead of a nice even pound?

My homebrew shop sells stuff in grams since I'm in Canada. 500 grams = 1.1 lbs. Instead of Warrior you could try Columbus or Nugget. The hops are very subdued in this recipe and it's the malt that takes over. The honey malt is unbelievably good in it. I'll have to brew again since I'm running low.
