Hey,

What would be the ratio for converting an extract to an all grain.

So 1# of Plain Light Dry Malt extract would equal what in 2-row lbs?

How would a pound of Plain Light Malt Extract syrup convert to AG?

Cheers,
Tim

I will note that just converting the grain to DME or LME is only half of the problem.

To do it correctly you also need to convert the bitterness over as all grain recipes with full boils require less hops than partial boil extract recipes. Calculate the IBUs for each and balance them.

Some beer recipe software will do this automatically for you.

Cheers,
Brad
