Id like to do a pils in the near future, and i was wondering which one of these yeasts (i will have both washed and on hand) would work better. I dont have the ability to lager yet :(

I'd go with the 810 and ferment on the low side. I fine that the 029 is a good yeast, but leaves a very distinct kolsch flavor and wouldn't be as clean as the 810

Yea i wasnt sure about that. I had actually never had a kolsch before i made mine, and every time i drink one i just think...man, this tastes really german...
it is tasty but if the yeast is what gives it that unique flavor then ill probly go with the cali yeast.
Thanks
