Hi all,

I fermented my cider and it tastes great. I tried to force carbinate in my corny keg. It takes the co2, but upon dispensing, the co2 comes out of solution very quickly with the result of a still cider within a few minutes.

Any clues?

Thanks

I forced carbed my last cider at about 33F and 30 psi for a week....I then turned it down to about 6 psi to serve..and had great "bubbles" in the drink. I took a photo, I'll have to post it.

With just a little head space, there is not a lot of contact between the cider and CO2. I seal the keg, bleed the air, carb with 30lbs CO2, shake rattle and roll the keg. Even then the CO2 does not absorb as well as beer. I keep it on higher pressure (15 lbs) until it soaks in then tone it down.
