Blues Rocker?

So I was skimming channels the other night, and came across a video on VH1. Is was a dude playing a Strat, and singing. The song was an up-tempo blues rock tune that quite frankly, rocks.

Turns out it was friggin' John Mayer. The song was called "Who Did You Think I Was", which is a pretty apt title for a song like this coming from him. It's from a new "live" disk, with just him, a bassist, and drummer called "Try". I think I'm gonna have to pick this thing up.

So has no one else heard it, is is everyone just ashamed to admit that Mayer might actually rock?

Who's John Mayer?

I liked his debut album just fine. It definitely didn't rock, but it was good background music for a road trip with the wife. Better than listening to Enrique Iglesias or Lifehouse or that other crap she listens too . . .
