Anyone have a good commercial example? I am attempting this style for the first time and would like something to compare it to.

Thanks,

William

Anchor Steam Porter or Sierra Nevada Porter, are a couple of good ones, not sure what is available to you in AL though :mug:

Anchor is my all time favorite of the style.... and I am very pleased that it is now available here in West Virginia.... been a long dry spell.......

I believe Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerals qualifies. Not positive though. Its a great dry porter.

Otter Creek Stovepipe Porter is a great one. So was Grant's Perfect Porter.

I'm sitting her crushing my Robust Porter now.

Anyways, I never liked Edmund Fitzgerald, but I do enjoy Otter Creek's and I think it's fairly cheap too. Maybe $8/6?
