The book that I am reading says that to prime for bottling you should boil 16 oz of water and add 3/4 cup corn sugar OR 1 1/4 cup dried malt extract. I have corn sugar and DME both on hand so I could use either. I'm just wondering what is the prefered method if there is one. Any advice?

Since the fermentability of DME can vary some, corn sugar is usually the preferred priming agent. Plus, you can save the DME for other things.
