I am brewing an all grain Oatmeal Stout tomorrow (dont you love Brew Day-Eve!!!) ....and plan on shooting for a water profile close to Edinburgh...which as noted in The Home Brewers Companion is a classic water type for "Dark, Malty Strong Ale with Low Bitterness".
My profile will be as follows after making my additions to bmy base water:
Ca 107
Mg 15
Na 50
SO4 144
Cl 30
HCO3 224
Any comments? Advice...issues with what I have and plan...any advice or confidence building is appreciated!
