do you always use Bru-Vigor?
why not just make a starter?

yes, and I don't know.

I've never made a starter becasue I always use liquid yeast, an I thouht that meant I didn't need to.

I have not made 2 identical batches one with and one without brew vigor, but all batches I've made recently (with brew vigor) have begun a much more lively fermentation sooner than my early (no brew vigor) batches.

not scientific, especially since I changed yeast brands too.
